Background
Glioblastoma is the most deadly and rarest of cancers with an average survival rate of only 12 months, even with aggressive treatment. (Mark, being an overachiever, survived 15 months during which he had a craniotomy, radiation, chemotherapy, and more.)
Because GBM is so rare, it doesn’t receive as much funding as other cancers, plus the brain has challenges to treatment that other areas of the body are not susceptible to.
As a result, treatments for Glioblastoma have barely progressed in the past 20+ years!
The American Brain Tumor Association has an excellent record of transparency, and nearly 100% of donations are used for the cause.
