To Sarah and all who knew and admired Mark, I'm tremendously sorry for our loss. Like many at NGA, I encountered Mark off and on as an editor for our products. He was always so easy to work with and provided a much needed perspective not hampered by ego or minutiae. He often was a voice of reason and I personally felt our intelligence was the in the best hands with Mark there to guide us. We learned a lot from Mark and the legacy of his service will live on.

I had the pleasure of working with Mark on NGA’s Next NGA West project. He was driven to provide a facility that will allow the people of NGA to do their best work, understanding that the work spaces and tools will drive the creativity needed for an important mission. His family, friends and colleagues will always be able to see NGA St Louis at the corner of Cass and Jefferson as a testament to Mark’s efforts and dedication.
