Mark's obituary

Mark Eugene White of Springfield, Ohio  was born on February 26, 1952 to Richard and Genevieve White.  He was sometimes referred to as "Dixie"(mostly by his New York softball team members) because of an occasional mysterious southern accent:)

Mark passed away in Arlington Texas on July 12, 2024 due to his ongoing battle with lung and heart health related issues.

Mark is survived by Diane White (wife),  Mark White II, Michael White and Mathew White (sons), Sean Rekemeyer,  Brandon Rekemeyer and Francesca Kelley (step-children), as well as twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter,  Richard White Jr(brother) and Kim Moceri(sister)

Mark and most of the White family have long been sports fans, mostly of baseball/softball.  Mark thoroughly enjoyed the comradery and competitive spirit of the games.  He frequently transferred jobs from one city/even state to another, taking his love for softball along.  The softball games were usually nice family affairs with children and wife coming along to enjoy the fun.  These changes of jobs brought Mark to Texas where he has resided since 1985.

Mark enjoyed telling bigger than life stories and playing a good trick or two.  He often missed seeing his boys when they lived so far away.  In the challenging role of stepfather, Mark modeled his own family life of work, home, dinner and kiss good-nite at bedtime, doing his best to make a caring home for his step family.   He also adored his doggies, and was a very kind and caring poppa.

Mark carried himself with tons of confidence, definitely his own best advocate, and yet could also be so very sweet!  In many ways he was a true Southern gentleman which was very charming with an added twist of spice!
