Mark Joseph Cattarin, 57, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on September 11th, 2020. He was born on April 21st, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan. Mark graduated from Klein High School in Spring, Texas in 1981. Mark met the love of his life, Tobie, while she was in high school and they married on December 16th, 1989 while they were both attending college at Sam Houston State University. Mark is survived by his wife, Tobie, daughters, Katie (Carl) Herber and grandson, Troy, daughters, Peyton and Taylor: his parents, Tom and Sandy Cattarin, sisters Jill(Ron) Vutpakdi, Robin (Alex) Boggs, and Gina(Bill) Christian and nieces and nephews, Will and Rafa, Amber, Griffin, Mike, Nathan and Emily. Mark liked to spend time with his precious girls, friends, and family. He was a great cook, and everyone loved his favorite recipes. The beach was his happy place and the ocean brought serenity. Enjoying a midnight storm with his girls on the porch with lightening and rain brought joy and contentment. He loved a good IPA and cigar on a summer evening. Working with his stamp collection while watching sports was how he spent his free time in the house, but most of his time was spent outside of it; working in his garage, having a beer with a good friend in the driveway, and visiting with friends and neighbors until the sun had gone to bed and it was time to prepare for a new day.

Due to current Covid 19 restrictions, the family is having a small private service, which will be followed by visitation at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home 189 N. Seguin Ave. New Braunfels, for all other loved ones and friends from 4pm-6pm, please feel free to come by, pay last respects, celebrate the life of, and say good bye to our beloved husband, father, son and friend.
