Mark's obituary

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mark Anthony Blacharski of Valrico, FL, who left us on February 23, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on September 5, 1959, in Mishawaka, IN, Mark's life was marked by dedication, ingenuity, and a profound appreciation for the arts and technology.

Before his retirement, Mark's career at Sypris Electronics was distinguished by his NASA certification and his pivotal role in the construction of satellite components. His outstanding contributions were recognized with a NASA Award for Excellence, a testament to his professionalism and expertise.

Outside of work, Mark was a man of many talents. A maestro of the motherboard and a connoisseur of sound, he was a true audiophile whose passion for music was only matched by his skill in creating speakers to amplify it. He didn't just march to the beat of his own drum—he built the speakers to blast it.

His artistic inclinations did not end with the auditory; Mark was also a talented painter and photographer, capturing the sublime beauty of the natural world through his art. Though he painted less in later years, the legacy of his artistic vision endures.

Mark is survived by his girlfriend, Julie Messer, children Anthony, Christopher, Theresa, Amber, grandchildren Isabel Mccafferty, Arthur Blacharski, Louis Blacharski, and siblings Lawrence N. Blacharski Jr., David Blacharski. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary K. (Martino) Blacharski, father Lawrence “Larry” N. Blacharski, and sister Susan Horein.

As we remember Mark Anthony Blacharski, let us reflect on the rich tapestry of his life, celebrating the achievements and joys that defined his journey. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Mark's life at John Chestnut Sr. Park, 2200 E Lake Rd S, Pavilion #6, Palm Harbor, FL on April 6th, 2024 at 12PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Defense Fund in his honor.
