Dr. Batory was more than just my doctor he was my friend. And I am deeply saddened to have heard this. I know everyone hurts in their own way and I give my full condolences to his whole family. Mark was an amazing Dr. to our son who will truly be lost without his guidance. I have sat in silence, shared sadness for his family and
his children who he spoke of so often during our sessions. Our own son is going to miss Mark very much. The world has lost a wonderful person way too soon. We hope his children hold dearly to all that we are sure he shared with them, taught them & inspired in them.
Sincerely, The Kolodzinki Family
It was not your time to go my dear friend! Although Heaven is rejoicing to have you in the Angel Choir, our world and lives are much dimmer without your light, wisdom, unique sensibilities, and of course the love to your own children and the lives of all those you touched!
All the stories you’ve shared of funny experiences in your life as well as the hardships you overcame to so successfully become a great father, human, and doctor. You often said “we are all HUMAN” first before other titles and responsibilities.
Your depth of understanding and perception has been life changing for my family to have known you...
Elizabeth, John, Marylyn will all be in my prayers constantly.

My beautiful, brilliant, kind hearted friend...
The emptiness where you belong is too vast to comprehend...
Many hearts breaking with your untimely death.
I can only imagine all the answers to many of life’s questions that you’re busy obtaining upstairs with The Big Guy!

Love and prayers to your family who were the center of your world!
Jut heard about Mark today, he was more than a doctor to my family, he was family. My kids are devastated, as are my wife and I. He brought our daughter back to us from the brink. The world needed more people like him. Our condolences to all, especially his kids, whom he spoke of often. Peace be with you, my brother.

Dr. Batory was my psychiatrist for 8 years. He helped me with so many things and was such a kind and caring soul. I am in shock by the events that have unfolded and will dearly miss him. He helped me see the purpose in my life and was there for me in my hardest times. I don't know what I'll do without this wonderful man to help me through my future hardships. May God watch over him and keep him close in his arms.
I’ve always wondered what happened to my high school friend. He was kind, fun, and sweet at a time I needed just that. Mark, John Hoffman, and Dave Mackett kept me laughing all the way through high school. I’m broken-hearted for his family, and saddened that we settled an hour and a half away from each other and didn’t even know it. Mark was a young man of integrity, talent and wit. I’m not surprised he was so successful as an adult.
My sincerest condolences to Marks family and friends. To his patients as well, including my daughter. She was very upset upon hearing the news. She has been seeing him for over 6 years and he has helped her tremendously. He was very sincere and honest and funny, which made him easy to talk to and to trust. May God hold him close and grant the rest of us peace as we grieve over his passing.
I was recommended to Dr Batory when I was 12 years old- I am now 20. For the past 8 years, Mark has changed my life for the better. I will remember his kindness, honesty and smile for the rest of my life. I remember he told me “You can not be selfless and you can not be self absorbed- but you must be selfish.” I looked forward to seeing him, he made me laugh and made me feel like I am a strong woman. I admired his intelligence and his strength. Mark will be remembered forever.
A student mentioned Dr Batory at her high school graduation as someone who changed her life. Our hearts go out to his children who he mentioned so often when we met him.

I don’t know what to say. This man was a blessing to the world. He helped so many so much, including my daughter. He saved many lives, I am sure.

It seems a tragedy for him to leave us so soon. But perhaps there is a reason for that. Perhaps he can help even more from the concourse on high. This I believe.

Thank you Mark for all that you’ve done and continue to do to help our children.

We love you!
A caring physician, a trusted confidant and a dear friend has left this world too soon. Mark's genuine personality and joyful laughter made him so endearing that I feel fortunate to have known him (he was one of the few to know me by my nickname). My sincere prayers are with his family, friends and patients that God will give us all the strength to cope with this tragic loss. Goodbye Dr. B. Holly
In 2012 I almost lost my youngest daughter, she was so depressed, Had eating disorders not one but two at one time. She had given up on life was just ready for it to be over.
Ok I know what a crappy way to start a story well here is where it gets better.
She gets admitted to Aurora Mental Health. One day this Doctor walks in sits down starts talking to her. The first things he asks is why she tilts her head to the right? Her reply I don’t know , because I want to. And there the bond was made.
Dr. Batory gave me my daughter back, he took I child who didn’t care about anyone or anything and gave me my beautiful daughter.
He filled her heart with hope, Love , praise, gave her everything her father would do.
He taught her that she could do things that she didn’t think she could do. Find a boyfriend, graduate high school, be normal and abnormal at the same time and that’s ok.
He also taught her to laugh, be open, talk , just be herself. They became much more then just Doctor / patient they became friends until the end of time. She will never forget him he will never leave her heart soul mind or her side or for that matter he will always be in the same places for me and the rest of my family
So I will not say the end . Because his memories will live will us forever and we will talk about them all the time. Thank you all for sharing him with us. He was an amazing man
