Uncle Alan, friend of Donald Duck. You always had a smile and hug when I came running towards you on my visits. I have been the envy of my friends for having an uncle that built Disney rides. I will never look at my Donald Duck collection and not see you with him. You surprised me on one trip at the Dolphin Hotel with a Daisy hat no one would get me that hangs from a post on my bed today. You and Aaron came to visit me in Philadelphia. I took y’all to get an authentic Philly cheesesteak and got pulled over by a Philly cop for turning left where no left was allowed. He let me go with no ticket I think because I had CT plates and 2 giggling southerners in the car!

You are in my heart with so many great memories. Disney World will never be the same for me without you there.

We met Alan 29 years  ago  at Disney. Over the years, he and Darlene became our friends and we visited with them while in Orlando.  We shared our love of Disney with Alan, but also shared our love of UK. Rick is so glad that Alan attended the UK Bowl game with him in Orlando in 2022; that was a fun day together. One of  Leesa’s most recent  texts  to Alan was to wish him both a Happy Fathers Day and birthday on June 18th!  We will always cherish our fond memories of Alan.

Little Brother most know you as an adult but I was Lucky to have you as my wonderful Little Brother. Never an argument or disagreement. Well maybe, why do you only want blue shirts or why do you jump in every puddle in Owensboro. I didn’t know I wanted or needed a brother but God knew best - I got you. When you were 14, you asked me to fly to KY and fly back with you to Connecticut to visit. As always I did what you wanted! We flew out of Nashville and you walked on the tarmac backwards and up the plane steps backwards - you would not look at the plane. The pilots, crew and passengers clapped and cheered when you were in a seat. But you flew back alone! At 15, you were in my my wedding - so handsome in a tux. CT was having a snowstorm and you said it was the most snow you ever saw. You and Daddy took the wrong turnpike in New Jersey and drove to Atlantic City instead of the PA turnpike adding hours to your trip back to KY. You grew from a wonderful Little Brother into a Great adult Little Brother, husband, father, uncle and grandfather. I will always be checking my messages and texts for, ‘This is your Little Brother calling for my Big Sister’. YOU WILL LIVE IN MY HEART ALWAYS.

Alan was one of the finest people I’ve ever known I loved him dearly. He was such a good brother and person. He was good to everyone and was helpful and caring and loving. He will be so missed. I pray for the family for your strength and your courage and peace to see you through this tragedy know that I love you and I am thinking of and praying for you. I am so sorry I cannot be there.
When ever there was a problem at Kali Al would ask me what I did to break the ride, he was always kidding me . He had to be one of the nicest guys I ever met! I’m so sorry for your loss, he will be missed for ever.

Al was always like a dad to many of us at Kali. He would come up and make jokes and brighten our days.
We are so sorry to hear of Al’s passing and are keeping Darlene and the entire Baize family in our thoughts and prayers.   Al was a kindhearted friend and would go out of his way to help anyone he encountered.  Nick & Michele Blackwell
