Mark's obituary

In Loving Memory of Mark Adams

1959 - 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mark Adams, who left us on December 13, 2025, at the age of 66. Born in 1959 in California, Mark grew up in Creston, British Columbia, where he developed a lifelong love for the natural beauty of the outdoors. Later, Mark made his home in Kelowna, British Columbia, where he spent his final years, finding peace and serenity in the mountains that meant so much to him.

Mark’s career was defined by his strong work ethic and his passion for his craft. Beginning in the Canadian Forestry Service, he quickly earned a reputation for his dedication and expertise. He later transitioned to the construction industry, where he built and ran his own successful business, known for its high-quality work and integrity. Mark took immense pride in what he did, and the relationships he formed along the way reflected his character and commitment.

Family was always the cornerstone of Mark's life. He is survived by his wife, Val, and his three sons, Darin, Kevin, and Tyler, who were the light of his life. While Mark’s family structure evolved over time, the bonds he shared with his sons remained unbreakable, and they will forever carry with them the many cherished memories of their time together. He also leaves behind his stepchildren, whom he welcomed with love, and his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

In addition to his immediate family, Mark is survived by his mother, Marie Bailey, and his siblings: Dawn Timchishen, Carrie Konzelman, Benee Flores, and Troy Adams. Each of them will hold their memories of Mark dear, remembering him as a man who had a unique ability to make others feel valued and loved. Mark had a special way of connecting with people, offering support, encouragement, and kindness to everyone he met.

Mark’s life left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Whether through his work, his relationships, or the way he approached life with determination and quiet humor, his legacy will endure. He will be remembered for his strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those who mattered most to him.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held in the Spring of 2026, with the exact date to be announced. It will be a time for family and friends to come together and honor Mark’s memory, sharing stories and reflecting on the love and joy he brought to so many. In the meantime, the family invites all who knew Mark to share their memories and stories here, helping to celebrate the lasting impact he had on their lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a way to continue Mark’s legacy of generosity and compassion.
