Dear Skigen Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. It looks like Marjorie lived a long life, but it’s still never easy to lose someone we love. Death affects all of us deeply. Thankfully, the Bible gives us comfort. In John 11:11, Jesus compares death to sleep—a peaceful rest. And just like we wake up from sleep, Jehovah promises to wake our loved ones too. Acts 24:15 reminds us of the beautiful hope of the resurrection. I hope that promise brings you comfort and strength as you look forward to seeing Marjorie again.

I only knew you the last year before you retired at UPS, but the friendship we created in that time seemed like a lifetime.  From helping you to sign out of your DIAD at the end of the day, or  gathering your belongings from the UPS truck, or helping you find the many pairs of glasses on top of your head, it was always an adventurous day! I’m so glad we were able to spend your last birthday at UPS before you retired. The smile on your face and happiness that I saw was a memory I won’t forget. You truly appreciated everyone in your life, and I appreciate the opportunity I received making a new friend. I love  you Margie, and will miss you. 💕

I am so very sorry to hear that Margie has passed.  I enjoyed playing soccer with her on Sunday (many times car-pooling to Broomfield) and our scheduled walks in local parks, even after she and I retired our soccer cleats.  She, Vicki T. and I share many in depth conversations about grandchildren and everyday life on our walks thru Bible Park and Cherry Creek Reservoir.  She had a smile and good word for all....she will be greatly missed.  She did love her job at UPS and talked of her time there often.  She shared dinner at my house occasionally and everything was always "delicious!!".  She was a delightful, loving gal with a huge heart.
