Marjorie Lou's obituary
Marjorie Lou Lindstrom of Sebastopol, CA returned home peacefully, surrounded by family, on May 28, 2023 to our Heavenly Father. Marge was born in La Feria, TX on February 24, 1940 to Lorraine Southerland and Cliff Southerland. She is survived by her husband, Jack Lindstrom and her four children: Craig Lindstrom, Sheri Meeks (Terry), Danny Lindstrom, and Darlene Lindstrom. She was a proud grandmother of eight grandchildren: Ian Meeks, Regina Crawford (Jeremy), Ryan, Cameron, Joshua Apodaca, Jennifer Toellner (David), Lauren Lindstrom (Amanda), and Grant Lindstrom and four great grandchildren: Kaleb, Jameson, Jackson, and Amelia that made her smile and ever so happy. She was preceded in death by her mother Lorraine, father Cliff, and brother, Lonnie Southerland. In her last months, she was surrounded by family and friends sharing memories of her family, accomplishments, and successes during her life.
She lived a full life as a full-time mom, homemaker, cook, accordion player, business owner with Jack, school bus driver and loving wife to Jack of 67 years. At times her energy and drive outweighed every one of us. She always remembered birthdays and events. She was a hard worker and made sure our home was a home of cleanliness and order. She never missed a dinner, making breakfast and making school lunches. Every holiday was filled with family, love, laughter, and the best food. She made her house a home and a place of love for all of us. She loved to travel and both she and Jack shared travels to Europe, Hawaii, and places around the US. Our family Disneyland trips were so much fun and trips to Hawaii were amazing.
Family was her joy, and she was loved dearly.
She was at peace about returning home. Her faith and connection have given us strength to carry on in this life with a conviction that one day we will all be together again. Thank you, mom, for all you have given to us. Love to you always.
Services will be held July 22, 2023 at 1pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at: 8100 Valentine Ave, Sebastopol, CA 95472.
