Marjorie Hale Morris, known to her friends as Margie, was born on August 4th 1940 in the State of Tennessee, to Laurie and Marjorie Hale. She grew up in her beloved Tennessee, but she had a sense of adventure that eventually took her to California, where she would meet and marry Robert G. Morris. Though Robert and Margie would later divorce, they would remain lifelong friends and constant companions throughout Margie’s life. Marjorie had three children. Prior to meeting Robert, she had a daughter, Pamela Seidel, and with Robert she had two sons, John Robert Morris and Wendell Garity Morris. Marjorie will be remembered as a loving and creative mother who was always there for her children. Marjorie had many friends, some of whom have been friends with her for her whole life, such as Nancy and Gloria, and she would also develop a group of friends at her home in Fieldbrook, California. Margie was a lover of dogs, and she had many pets throughout her life that were her secondary children. She is survived by her last dog, Mr. Chips, who is being well taken care of. Margie was a lover of life and laughter, and she will be forever remembered by her family and friends. She passed away on Nov. 9th, 2023, at Robert’s home in Marina del rey, California, amidst her family. A service is planned on June 29th to honor Margie’s memory.
