Marjorie's obituary
Marjorie Elaine Fish passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the age of 76 at her home in Hemet, California after a long illness.
Marjorie was born to Robert H. and Mildred Rainey in St. Louis, Missouri on October 28, 1946. She was one of four children, with one sister and two brothers. The family relocated when she was very young, so she grew up in Arizona and attended Blue Ridge High School in Lakeside, Arizona, where she met and fell in love with Darwin L. Fish. They were married in Mesa, Arizona on September 5, 1964, and were sweethearts for their entire marriage of nearly 60 years.
Darwin and Marjorie moved to the Hi-Desert in Southern California where he taught high school. They bought a home in Yucca Valley, California, where their eight children were born, and they lived for over 20 years. They also lived in the Temecula area for many years, and eventually retired in Hemet, California.
Many will remember Marjorie, or Marj, for her energetic personality and her enthusiasm for life. She enjoyed helping people and worked as a massage therapist for many years after training in San Diego. She would often find new products or techniques to help others to heal or live healthier lives and was always generous with her time and talents.
She also enjoyed many hobbies, including painting, sculpting, sewing, and other crafts. She could often be found volunteering her time for her church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or other worthy causes when she was not spending time with her many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also spoiled and adored her cats when she was not busy caring for everyone else.
She is cherished and survived by her husband, Darwin, and their children Elaine, Boyce, Cerisa, Gaile, Raenisa, Dain, and Lynita, as well as her brother, Ken P. Rainey. She is also loved and survived by 28 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Fish, her sister, Marilyn Rainey, her brother, Robert D. Rainey, and her parents, Robert H. and Mildred Rainey.
Services for Marjorie will be held on Thursday, April 6 at 11:00am, with a viewing at 10:00am at 425 North Kirby Street in Hemet, California.
