I was so aware that today was Marita's birthday. She is always with me. I have tears in my eyes and a smile on my face remembering her. I loved her and still miss her, I always will.

Marita was Marita. She was first of all intelligent, crazy funny, loyal, caring, always there for me and anyone who needed anything. Quite a few years ago, I divorced my husband after 40 yrs of marriage. Somehow, she convinced me and then him, to remarry. She thereby secured my ability to maintain my home and same level of living should he predecease me-as was the case. Thanks to her caring and looking out for me, I am comfortable and still in my home. Thank you Marita!!

My dear friend taught me a few German swear words [nothing too bad]. She was always there for me no matter good, bad or just our political fears this year. One time waaay back, we were coming home from the shore, and she says, "just stay calm, don't get excited, stay calm". By this time, I'm yelling "what, what". She said, "when you get a chance pull over". It turned out the hood of my car had not been properly latched and was slightly flapping in the wind. Thankfully she saw it and possibly saved us. Later, we laugh about her making me nervous with her "calming" instructions. I love her dearly and miss her always.

My love and thoughts go to all who knew and loved "Zensenie", as I sometimes called her. We met when we were both 15 yrs. old in South Paterson, thru Betty EID Rainey. Our friendship lasted all these years [with Betty passing in 1989-on my 50th b'day]. Before each of us gave up driving, we would meet once a month for lunch. As time went on, we kept in contact by phone and sometimes by computer {if either of us could manage to hit the right buttons]. I loved her as my BIG sister-I won't be 85 til September. To say she will be missed is without meaning. She will always be a part of me. I love and miss you, Judy Jacovelli Joseph.
