Marion's obituary

Our beloved Marion Lee Rouse entered into God’s Kingdom on November 27, 2021.  Marion was born to Max and Carolyn Rouse on May 7, 1950, in Kinston, NC.  Marion graduated from South Lenoir High School in 1971.  He went on to graduate from Fruitland Baptist Bible College in 1974 and that is where he got his nickname of Wormy.  In 1973, Marion Lee met Marcia Sue Moore, a match truly made in heaven. Marion & Sue went on to have a beautiful baby girl, Elizabeth, which defied all odds that doctors expressed would be against him.  He worked as a dedicated funeral director from 1974-1995.  Marion finished his career with the State of North Carolina in 2006.  Marion was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. He loved the church and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible. Marion joins his parents, Max and Carolyn Rouse, his brother Edward Rouse, his uncle Mickey Hill, his cousin Jeff Hill along with so many other family members in Heaven. He is survived by many loving family members, including his loving wife Sue Rouse who was the best wife and caregiver along with his daughter Elizabeth, (Ray Robinson) all of Garner, NC, 2 Goddaughters Kesha Moore of Raleigh, NC and Nikki Wilson (Mike) of Garner, NC, Grand-dog Molly and his loyal dogs Charlie and Max, his  sisters Maxie Wallace of Seven Springs, NC, Becky Parrish (Kevin), his loving Aunt Gretchen, all of Kinston, NC, God-grandchildren Vargas Moore. Jacob Edwards, Kadence and Jayde Wilson, several nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friend Jewell Robinson and a host of other relatives and friends.  Being the selfless man that he was his body has been donated to Duke Anatomical Center inDurham, NC. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s foundation in his memory.
