Marion Samson Drozdowski, 90, of Rockaway, NJ, passed away on January 1, 2023 after a long battle with dementia.

Marion was born on January 30, 1932 to James Stirrat and Jane Stirrat, maiden name Jane Watson Forrest in Edinburgh, Scotland. Marion attended school in Edinburgh and eventually worked as a live-in nanny and also a waitress.

In 1956, Marion met Edward Jerzy Drozdowski in Scotland, who was born in Warsaw Poland and moved to the UK after the war. They moved to London, England, and married on November 17, 1956. In 1959 they moved from the UK to the US. Edward and Marion have 3 children, Reno Stirrat, Nina Bradford and Tina Drozdowski.

Marion was predeceased by her husband Edward, her father James, her mother Jane, her brother James, sisters Mae and Elizabeth, niece Norma and nephew Norman. She is survived by sisters Jean and Hannah, her brother John, son Reno, daughters, Nina and Tina. Nieces and nephews: Elizabeth, Jane, Rosalind, John.

Her beautiful memory lives on with her children and also her grandchildren, Megan, Kristen, Jessica, Corrie and great grandchildren, Aiden, Evan, Adaley, Orion, Audrey, Zoe, Tristan and Evayah.

A memorial and time of remembrance will be held at The White Meadow Lake Clubhouse, 100 White Meadow Road, Rockaway, NJ on January 15th, from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association to further Alzheimer’s care and research.
