Our beloved Mario Moreno passed away on the 24th of July, 2024 in Sacramento, CA. He was born on the 25th of January, 1947 in México, Distrito Federal, and lived a life filled with humor, sarcasm, and deeply-felt emotions.

Mario is remembered for his teachings, most notably, to always strive for more. His influence has left a great impact on all who knew him, and his legacy lives on in the hearts of his loved ones and those he touched with his vibrant personality.

He was an avid Soccer fan and advocate, loved the sport and shared his passion with countless players including his children, friends and grandchildren. For more than half of his life, he inspired and motivated everyone around him to give their best inside and outside the field.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Moreno, and their sons Carlos, Mario, and Milton Moreno. Also mourning his loss are his siblings Gustavo, Juan, Agustin, Ismael, Ana, and Aurora Moreno. As well as his daughters in law Gabriela, Darnesha and Sandra, and all of his sisters and brothers in law, and his cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Roberto Moreno, his father, Agustin Moreno, and his mother Lucia Moreno..

Mario's memory will continue to shine in the lives of his grandchildren; Jon Ross, Isabel, Mia, Klarissa, Santiago, Kaylee, Ximena, Guillermo, Kataleya, Cristiano. Each one holds precious memories of their beloved grandfather, with him always showing up to support them with their school and extracurricular activities and will remember him for his wisdom, courage, and love.

In 1984, Mario migrated to Sacramento, California, where he lived till his passing. His laughter and jovial spirit infused joy into every corner of his home and community. Despite the sorrow brought about by his departure, he leaves behind a wealth of joyous memories that will keep his spirit alive.

Mario's life was a testament to the power of perseverance and the pursuit of one's dreams. As we remember him, let us take to heart his teachings and continue to strive for more, just as he did.
