Marilyn's obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Marilyn Wills, born on February 2, 1951, and passed away on September 14, 2025. Always remembered by her loving daughters, Sheila and Shelly Wills, her beautiful grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bolton, Gabrielle Cochrun, and Jason Wills. Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Johnny Wills, her son, Darrell Wills, her parents, Pauline and Delmas Davis, her brother Robert Davis, and her sister, Carolyn Ray.

Marilyn and Johnny were married in 1966, embarking on a journey of love and companionship. A woman with simple yet refined tastes, Marilyn's favorite foods included hatch chilis, Mexican food, and a well-made hobo dinner. She often indulged in her favorite drink, Dr. Pepper, and enjoyed the literary works of Dana Fuller Ross, particularly The State series.

A lover of music, Marilyn enjoyed the timeless melodies of The Beatles, Queensryche, Barry Manilow, and the BeeGees. She cherished her television time, consistently tuning into CSI Criminal Minds, MASH, The Originals, and The Walking Dead. Her movie of choice was the classic, Steel Magnolias. Marilyn loved a good game night, with Yahtzee, Solitaire, Phase 10, or Gin Rummy being her games of choice.

She loved spending time at local spots, with Cameron Park Zoo and Lovers Leap being her favorites. Marilyn adored the color light blue and embodied the qualities of love, diligence, reserve, strong-willedness, promptness, and spirituality. However, she wasn’t without a whimsical side that surfaced in special moments.

Marilyn made a big impact on those around her, constantly reminding everyone to treat others as they wished to be treated. She taught the importance of good work ethics, kindness, generosity, and punctuality. She was immensely proud of her family and counted them as her greatest accomplishment.

Marilyn was a remarkable woman and her presence will be deeply missed every day. Her memories, lessons, and love will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved her. Rest in peace, Marilyn. You lived a wonderful life.
