Marilyn's obituary
Marilyn M. Toone passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and quiet joy. A beloved wife, mother, Grammy, and friend, Marilyn touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and unwavering resilience.
A true survivor, Marilyn bravely overcame cancer, facing her battle with courage and grace. She lived each day with gratitude and found beauty in the simple things—whether it was sitting peacefully by the waters of St. Clement's Shores, her favorite place to be, spending time with her family or crafting button figurines, a creative outlet that brought her both joy and peace.
Marilyn also had a deep love for preserving and celebrating family memories. She poured her heart into creating photo books and personalized calendars that captured her family's special moments. Her thoughtful creations now serve as treasured keepsakes for those she loved most.
She is survived by her husband, Al, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and companionship. She was a proud and loving mother to her sons, Chris (married to Jen) and Nick (married to Pauline), and found immense joy in being “Grammy” to her grandchildren, Riley and Christopher.
Her warmth, creativity, and laughter will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Instead of flowers, the family invites you to take a quiet moment by the water, think of her, and smile. We would be grateful if you shared your favorite memories and photos, which will be cherished by her family as a way to keep her spirit alive.
