Marilyn's obituary

Marilyn Lorraine Stoler, age 79, passed away on April 13, 2024 in Westport, Connecticut.

Marilyn was a fiercely independent, highly intelligent woman who loved her two sons (Jonathan and Michael), her daughter-in-law (Meredith) and her grandchildren (Ella and Jack) very, very much.

As a single mother, raising two young boys, Marilyn put herself through college and graduate school at the age of 34, earning a MSW from New York University. She had an illustrious career, working with Vietnam and Desert Storm veterans and serving as the Director of Social Work for VA Hospitals in both San Diego, California and in Brooklyn, New York.

Marilyn loved to play tennis, hike in the mountains and, most of all, swimming in the ocean.

She will always be in our hearts and we will all miss her very much.
