Marilyn's obituary

Marilyn M. Kay

September 15, 1936 – December 26, 2025

Marilyn M. Kay passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, surrounded by a lifetime of love and cherished memories. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Neil H. Kay, with whom she shared many wonderful years and a deep, enduring bond.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Marilyn built a life grounded in family, friendship, and tradition. She was a devoted and loving mother to her four children, Laurie Nichols, Janet Kay, Robert Kay, and Bruce Kay, and nothing brought her greater joy than watching her family grow. She was a proud grandmother to Lauren Hill, Ryan Nuckols, Steven Nichols, Kevin Nichols, and Robert Kay, and a devoted great-grandmother to Michael, Mason, Grayson, Avery, and Russell, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Later in life, Marilyn found happiness in Bradenton, Florida, where she embraced new friendships and continued to enjoy the activities she loved most. A longtime golfer and an enthusiastic player of bridge, Marilyn traveled around the world with her friends, sharing countless games and laughter along the way. She remained actively engaged until her final days, a testament to her sharp mind and love of connection. She also had a deep appreciation for social gatherings and the arts, and her warmth, humor, and genuine love of life left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Marilyn is also survived by her sisters, Virginia Wickersham and her husband Wick, and Janice Anderson and her husband Rick, with whom she shared a close and lasting bond throughout her life.

Marilyn will be remembered for her kindness, her vibrant spirit, and the love she so freely gave to her family and friends. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.

Funeral services will be held in Connecticut at the convenience of the family.
