Our Sincere Condolences to Marilyns Family
We first met Marilyn at the Downers Grove Kingdom Hall in 2021. Marilyn had been attending prior so it was time to get acquainted with more lovely Friends!
Marilyn and Eva had been invited to Jeans house on Warrenville Rd to join in with her Group for our Christian Volunteer Activity.
The first day of our weekly attendance I met Marilyn down on Rt 53 and we found Jeans house together.
This was the beginning of the fond memories of months and years spent with Marilyn and our group of diligent ladies. Marilyn was our “our “Sister” in Christ as she joyfully contributed to the enjoyment of our “work.”
She made it more special with her bright personality and offering colorful place settings for our light lunches we enjoyed before getting started Our appreciation is great for our older “Sisters” Marilyn and Jean They brought additional joy to us all as their best efforts went into our work of spreading the Good News via letter writing!
Throughout the next 10 yrs+ we had the privilege and blessing of getting to know Marilyn She also joined Sandy visiting and encouraging our shut ins
Marilyn continued on as we moved our Group from Jeans to Beulah’s on Maple Ave This most enjoyable work and the best ever association continued until the pandemic hit
Personally I would love to have known Marilyn for a much longer period of time!
I look forward to seeing our lovely sister Marilyn again soon in the Resurrection in the New Earth!
Michael Thank you so much for the love you
showed and for dignifying your Dear Mother in such a beautiful way
Sincerely
Don and Eva

Marilyn didn’t suffer fools gladly but she did manage to suffer this fool.
She was a fine human being. I will miss her greatly. I considered her my second mom but she probably didn’t know that. Shame on me for not sharing and displaying.
She never gave me crap personally for eating the house out of their orange segments and cookies and she even finally forgave me for allowing that crazy ex of mine to terrorize the house and victimize Mary’s car.
I found refuge in that house after school. I found love under that discerning, cautious and skeptical eye of Marilyn’s. She knew I was full of crap but it didn’t dissuade her from attempting to teach me a little about life.
I love you 2nd mom and I’m sorry for referring to you as Marilyn.

I’ll never forget her taking us to school every morning with her stop sign road rage, always yelling up the stairs that dinner was ready and if someone wasn’t eating she was shocked. Or those times when I came home to visit and she was shocked about the long drive I made. To the one time I attended a Jehovah witness mass with her. Going home won’t be the same without her :(. I wish I had 5 more minutes or at least one more Christmas.
