What were Marilyn's favorite vacation spots?

Kauai was called the Garden Isle and at that time was still pretty undeveloped. It was green and lush, no big cities and population was quite low and mostly all locals.  We had a rental car and drove to all the special sightseeing spots and we saw a lot of beautiful scenic spots.    We took a boat ride down the river to the Fern Grotto and that was the most beautiful ride I had ever taken.  Beautiful trees lined the river that went into a cavelike area.  Walls of trees and flowers on both sides of the river into a canyon that had exposed rocks and some trees.  The water was clear and beautiful, it was very slow moving.  When we were all the way into the canyon the boat stopped.  Up on one side of the grotto was a group of Hawaiians, dressed in their traditional clothes some with ukuleles and they sang the Hawaiian Wedding Song.  It took my breath away it was so beautiful.  The scenery, the music and the traditional clothing, I felt like I was in a fantasy.  This was one of the most beautiful places I had ever been.  I have never been back and the quiet serene ride of those years have been replaced by many more boats and tourists.
