Marilyn Eskins, a beacon of love, compassion, and family unity, gently passed away on October 13, 2017. Born on August 5, 1954, she lived a life full of devotion to her family, leaving behind an enduring legacy of love and care.
Marilyn is Proceeded in Death by her husband Wayne Eskins, And her parents Ruby poston and Buddy Poston.
Marilyn is survived by Siblings Ronnie & Carol Poston , Ricky & Marcie Poston, Terri Nesloney , Scotie & joanne Poston, Sherry & Rudy Salizar and Don Poston . Also Her loving children, Terry Johnikin, Susan Smith, Billy Eskins, Johnny Eskins, and Donna Eskins. Her love for her family extended to her beloved grandchildren that she took in to raise as her own children - Melanie Mason, Tiffany Brantley, Phillip Sapp, Deven Eskins, Destiny Eskins, and Ronnie Eskins - all of whom she adored unreservedly. She also left behind her other grandchildren who she didnt raise but loved just the same. David johnikin, Miranda Kamp, Kelly Sealey, Hope Johnikin, Billy Wayne Jr, Katy Eskins, Johnny Eskins Jr. Then there was her Great Grandbabies. Mariyah Mason, Raelyn Mason, Mariyanna Mason, Garret Johnikin, Thomas Kamp, Carson Kamp, Sadie Sealey, Aubrie Sealey, David Johnikin JR , Macy Johnikin, Caleb Johnikin, David Brantley JR & Charlotte Brantley, Lavon Thompson.
Known for her caring, forgiving, and loving nature, Marilyn was the epitome of kindness, a characteristic that shone brightly in her favorite television shows, Golden Girls, I Love Lucy, and Leave It To Beaver, and was reflected in her choice of vibrant Red as her preferred color. She loved going to eat at krystals and snacking on Fritos potato chips.
Marilyn enjoyed life's simple pleasures, including savoring sweet tea, collecting porcelain dolls, and swimming with her grandchildren at her daughter Terry's house. Her love for local markets was palpable, as she enjoyed spending weekends at yard sales and selling items at the flea market.
However, Marilyn’s greatest accomplishment was her role as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Proudly, she took upon herself the responsibility of raising six of her grandchildren, a decision she neither doubted nor regretted. Her commitment and dedication towards her family were unparalleled, and she showed everyone the true essence of familial love.
Marilyn’s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family members. She taught them the importance of sticking together and putting aside differences for the sake of love. Marilyn Eskins was indeed a woman of strength, courage, and love, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
