It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn Clevelagar, a beacon of joy and warmth who left us on January 20, 2024. Born on May 7, 1957, Marilyn touched countless hearts and lives during her time with us. Her vivacious personality, wit, and kindness made her an unforgettable presence in all walks of life.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved daughter, Lauren Gavigan, and her cherished Aunt, Lucy Gavigan. Her family was a source of great pride and joy for her, and the bond they shared was truly special. Marilyn's love for her daughter, Lauren, whom she adopted, stands as one of her greatest accomplishments. Their unique bond was a testament to Marilyn's nurturing spirit and immense capacity for love.
Marilyn's genuine love for people was clearly reflected in her community involvement. An active attendee at Norcross First United Methodist Church, she exuded a vibrant spirituality that resonated with all who interacted with her. Moreover, Marilyn was a passionate volunteer for organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and the American Red Cross, where she devoted her time and energy to making a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate.
As an organizer at Wing Riders, Goldwing Motorcycle Club, Marilyn's outgoing spirit, and warmth were unmistakable. She brought a sense of camaraderie and fun to the group, making every ride an unforgettable adventure.
Marilyn lived by the words, "Live life to the fullest and dream big". She not only preached these words but also modeled them in her day-to-day life. Marilyn's zest for life, her strength and resilience, and her ability to find humor in every situation will continue to inspire all who knew her.
