It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mariluz Medrano-Ponce, lovingly known as Mary or Luz, who left this world on June 21, 2024. Born on May 6, 1979, Mariluz touched the lives of many with her happy, loving, generous, and pure spirit.

Mariluz embodied a zest for life that was infectious. Her mantra, 'Live life full of joy, love and happiness,' was not just a saying but the way she lived her life. Her sense of humor and ability to find joy in everything made her a beacon of light to those around her. 

She is survived by her devoted husband, Roberto Ponce, and their beloved children, Robertito Mauro Ponce, Luzcesita Ponce, Mariana Ponce, and Felixicio Ponce. Her spirit lives on in them, and her greatest accomplishment was the love and nurturing she poured into raising them.

Mariluz's loss will deeply be felt by her loving parents, Maria and Mauro Medrano, her cherished siblings Mauro Adrian Medrano, Erica Alvarado, and Rogelio Medrano, and their spouses Larry Alvarado, Yahaira Medrano, and Randal Carone. Her nieces and nephews, Yanitza Medrano, Nailea Medrano, Maurico Medrano, Marenzo Medrano, Carmella Carone, Alexsandra Alvarado, Alaina Alvarado, Isaiah Gonsales, and Adrian Medrano, will always remember their aunt's warmth and kindness.

Mariluz leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. Her impact on her community will long be remembered, and the way she enjoyed life will continue to inspire and influence us. We will remember Mariluz every day in the moments of happiness and love we share with each other, as she taught us to do.

In the face of this loss, we celebrate Mariluz's extraordinary life and trust that her spirit will continue to guide and watch over us. Her radiant smile, loving heart, and boundless generosity will be forever be missed but never forgotten.
