Marilee's obituary

Marilee Tate, born on March 14, 1955 in Bremerton, WA, USA, passed away on April 8, 2023.  Marilee graduated from West High School Bremerton, WA in 1972, and later attended Western Washington University,  graduating in 1999. She furthered her studies at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, earning her Masters in Social Work degree in 2002.

Marilee is survived by her husband, Ronald Tate; her children, Tim Tate, Ryan Tate, and Shawna Knight; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Santos; her brothers, Dave Barnes and Doug Barnes; her grandchildren, Carlee Haworth, Riley Haworth, Sean Haworth, Hunter Bliss, Charlie Tate and a grand daughter to be born April 27.  She was predeceased by her father, Floyd Barnes; her mother, Irma Jean Barnes; her sister, Mitsy Barnes; and her brother, Ronald Barnes.

Marilee was a caring and loving daughter, wife and mother. She was very compassionate in what ever she did. Her gift was to be a caregiver to others.  She began her career educating disabled children.  She then spent years working as a drug and alcohol counselor. After receiving her MSW, she worked in a convalescent center and as geriatric mental health counselor at Kitsap Mental Health.

Marilee always wished to hear the words at the end of her life, "Well done, good and faithful servant."  There will be a great welcome celebration at heavens gates.
