Marietta's obituary

Marietta Caylin Lozano Pryor was born in Manila, Philippines, August 25, 1952 to her parents Avelino and Beatriz Lozano. She always loved to travel and as a child would express her dream of a life in the United States to her parents. Her dream did become a reality, as Marietta has lived in New York, New Jersey, and California before settling in Georgia after her eldest daughter’s graduation from high-school. While Marietta missed her family and traditions from the Philippines dearly, she devoted her time to bringing Filipino culture to her community serving for some time as the Chairman of the Federation of Filipino American Organizations in Georgia.

Marietta’s work ethic was unrivaled which she instilled in each of her children. She was an accomplished interior decorator and designer. She studied fashion at Fashion Institute of Technology. It was not uncommon to see brides coming for their final fitting always in awe of her beautiful creations. Eventually she took her energy and drive to UPS and was quickly promoted to supervisor where she had remained until her passing.

She loved her family with all of her heart. She was always there for them and would move heaven and earth to help when they needed her the most. She was an extremely proud mother of her 6 children including a set of triplets. Throughout her life she was a supportive and patriotic Air Force Spouse, Air Force Mom of three sons and one son-in-law, and most recently Air Force Grandma! As a military spouse Marietta became a family support member, aiding military families in need. Marietta was completely devoted to her grandchildren. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart. Always talking about family and God, Marietta was a devout Christian and made it a priority to pray for her grandbabies every morning. Marietta married Clyde Pryor on November 24, 2001. As a large military family, it was Marietta and Clyde’s home that anchored everyone together. Here, all would gather even when they were oceans apart. On the occasions when they all came to visit, Marietta showed her love to her loved ones through food. Although not easy, she spent her time making everyone’s favorite meals to make sure that they all had a glorious time. She was always the loudest laughter in the room and when she laughed so too did everyone around her. Nothing was more precious to her than making memories with her family!

One of Marietta’s favorite sayings was to live life to the fullest, you never know when your time is up. Marietta certainly lived her life on her terms and has taught her family that they should do the same. Her legacy will live on in the family she created. She will be loved forever and missed always.

She is survived by her husband Clyde, her 6 children: Debbie and David, Lilburn, GA, Albert and Christina, Deltona, FL, Christine and Solomon, Loganville, GA, Robert and Toni, San Antonio, TX, Roger and Betsy, Forth Worth, TX, and Susanne and Donald, Hampton, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, two with spouses: Adrianna and Brian, Katerina, Savannah, Drew, Jordan, Kadin, Alice, Anthony, Kayla, Logan, Laura, Vanessa and Hans, Emilio, Donald Jr., Jade, Donovan, Isabel, Ayden, Audrey, and Autumn. Marietta had one great Grandchild, Ansley.
