It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of Marie Wright on December 2, 2023, at the age of 84. Born in the year 1939, Marie was a woman of boundless warmth and joy, lighting up every room she entered. A loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, her passing leaves an unfillable void in the lives of all who cherished her.

Marie was a beacon of unending love, thoughtfulness, and warmth. People often referred to her as a goofy, loving, old soul due to her affable nature and lovable quirks. Her laughter was infectious, her spirit indomitable, and the love she had for her family and friends was immeasurable. The memory of her relentless positivity and unwavering love will continue to inspire and comfort us all.

Marie is survived by her three children, Cynthia Sowers, James 'Jimmy' Wright, and Laura 'Lori' Wright. She was also a doting grandmother to James Dupler, Teana Greene, Jesse Burdette, Lena Burch, Cheyenne Hubbard, Dakota Wright, and Robert Wright. Every person in her large family was a recipient of her kindness, generosity, and love. Her siblings, Ruth Sgrignuoli, Jerry Shilts, Betty Hoffman, and Martha Hogarth, also survive Marie and will forever remember their beloved sister.

Loss had visited Marie throughout her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert 'Bud' Wright, and her partner, Charles 'Chuck' Brockman. Marie also mourned the loss of her daughters, Roberta "Bobbi" Wright and Jacqueline 'Jacki' Wright, and her beloved granddaughter, Evelyn 'Evie Jo' Kimble, as well as her brother, Billy Shilts. Despite these profound losses, Marie never lost her spirit, and her heart remained open, welcoming, and warm till the end.

Marie's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, resilience, and family. And while she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit and the love she shared will forever resonate in our hearts. She will be missed dearly, but her memory will continue to inspire and guide us.
