Marie Davis Starnes, born on September 21, 1941, in Lancaster, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home in Wilmington, North Carolina, on January 30, 2025.

Marie is survived by her devoted husband, Ronnie Starnes; her daughters, Tara Hensley of Wilmington and Debra Queen of Gastonia, North Carolina; and eight cherished grandchildren. She is also remembered by her siblings: Howard Davis and Paul Davis of Lancaster, South Carolina; Emily Gilbert of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and Janet Lamberth of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Jesse Davis, as well as two brothers, Ken Davis and Michael Davis.

A private celebration of Marie’s life will be held at her home on Tuesday, February 4th, from 2:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Marie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
