It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie "Mimi" Moore, who passed away on May 15, 2025. She was born on July 14, 1942, We rejoice in knowing she rests with her Lord and Saviour.

Marie is survived by her loving family, which includes her devoted husband, David Moore, her son and his wife, Greg and Karla Thomas and son-in-law Don Barnes (Vickie).  She was  cherished by her  grandchildren and great-grandchildren AnnElise and Daniel Aldridge (Molly and Hannah) , Katherine and Cody Oglesby (Stetson, Reed and Nolan), Jacob and Jada Thomas (Charlotte), Garrett  and Morissa Barnes (Wyatt and Wrenley), and Kaitlyn and Bryan Benton (Brody and Bailor) Her sisters, Florence Crawford (Mike), Betty Battle (Johnny) and Jerry Lynn Adaway as well as numerous nieces and nephews  will remember her with love.

Marie was preceded in death by her first husband, Allen Thomas, her beautiful daughter Lisa Barnes, her parents, Garlie and Beadie Davis, her sister, Jean Dennis, brother, Bert Davis, and her beloved great-granddaughter, Allie Jace Oglesby.

Marie's life was filled with the joy of simple pleasures. She delighted in her time spent with her husband, David, fishing and hunting. She loved being outdoors gardening or just sitting on the porch.  Her warm and giving heart, selfless love, and caring nature will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A memorial service to celebrate Marie's life will be held on Thursday May 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Palmetto, Alabama with Ray and Daniel Aldridge officiating. A graveside service for the family will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mt Tabor Baptist Church or a charity close to your heart. 

Her light will forever shine in the hearts of those she touched. Rest in peace, Mimi, until we meet again.
