Marie Lyon, 63, of Grapeland Tx, passed away on April 26th 2021, after a brave battle with Lung Cancer.

Marie was born on January 9th, 1958 to Jessie Fabian and Roberta Paddock in Franklin New Jersey.

Marie worked for Newco Inc of Newton NJ for over 25 years and went on to work for The Faulk Company at Latexo ISD as head custodian.

In the 70's Marie met Fred Capel, and welcomed Christina Capel into the world, born on August 29th, 1977. In the 80's, Marie then met William F Lyon and they also welcomed another girl, Angelica Lyon, born June 3rd, 1995.

Marie worked hard from the time she started working in the 70's until a couple of months after she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was always a determined, hard working, wise, bright wonderful person that always brought joy to a room and laughter to anyone who knew her.

Marie was so very passionate about her work, she never gave up and she never did any less than perfect for Latexo ISD. When she wasn’t filling Latexo with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her home at her computer desk playing spades and solitaire and cooking some tasty meals. She also spent a ton of time with her grandchildren Violet, Clair, and Salem, teaching them almost everything they know now, including "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes."

Marie was predeceased by her parents Jessie Fabian and Roberta Paddock, husband William Lyon, sisters Pasty Stewart and Darlene Decker, brothers Jessie Fabian, John Fabian, and Ken Decker, nephew Steven Conklin, mother in law Anna Muller and husband Richard Lyon . Marie is survived by daughters Angelica Lyon and Christina Holloway, son in law James Hibbard, Sisters Barbara Fabian and Lois Borner, nieces Lisa Griffen, Kasey, Jamie, Melinda, and April, nephews David Conklin and Michael Conklin, grandchildren Violet cooper, Clair Clandennen, Salem Lyon, Chyanne Holloway, and Desarae Holloway, and very good friends Megan Jones, Brandi Rea, Joe Willis, Christal Peck, and the numerous staff at Latexo ISD and fellow co-workers at The Faulk Company.

Marie didn't want a funeral. She wanted to be donated to science to help research and cures for diseases. She is in the hands of Science Care and is in Colorado donating, then being cremated and making her way back home to Grapeland Tx to her final resting place in the home she and her daughter Angelica shared, and placed next to her Husband William.
