Marie's obituary

We mourn the loss of Marie Louise Anderson ("Grandma Anderson"), who left us on March 13, 2025, leaving a legacy of love and knowledge. Born in 1948, Marie was not only a loving mother and grandmother but a beacon of warmth and kindness. It was her firm belief that "A mother always loves her children, no matter what."

Marie leaves behind her son, Stephan Arndt, her daughter, Melanie Plett, along with her daughter-in-law, Yuki Arndt, and son-in-law, Charles Plett. Her grandchildren, Juli Arndt, Jayde Plett, and Noelle Plett, will remember their beloved Grandma Anderson's sweetness and generosity. She was also dearly loved by her husband, Lynwood, and his entire family.

Marie was an avid gardener and landscape designer, receiving a Master Gardener's Degree, and would often describe gardening as her preferred mode of exercise. Family members often asked her for advice about how to nurse a sick plant back to health, or where to place a tree or bush. She also enjoyed ice fishing, a testament to her adventurous spirit. But above all, Marie will be remembered for her warm-hearted, kind, supportive, intelligent, curious, loving, caring personality.

Marie was a devoted Roman Catholic, her faith playing a significant role in her life. She had a spirit of exploration, with Ireland being one of her favorite vacation destinations. While living in Kirkland, New Brunswick, Marie and Lyn often sold produce and preserves from their hobby farm, "Kirkland Farms". They also donated many food baskets and handmade quilts to people in need.

Known for her culinary preferences, Marie had a soft spot for Caramel Popcorn, Coconut Macarons, and Cheezies, which she loved to enjoy while watching her favorite TV show, Outlander. She also had a knack for making a wonderful meal out of whatever happened to be in the fridge at the time. Marie was also an enthusiastic player of Scrabble and was always up for a game.

Her legacy, "A love of all living things, green and 4-legged alike," is a testament to her nurturing soul. Marie's spirit of unconditional love and her passion for nature will continue to inspire her family and all who knew her. Marie Anderson ("Grandma Anderson"), you will be missed, but your love, wisdom, and care will continue to enrich our lives.
