Marie Alourdes Leger, age 80, (really 18 years, as she said) of Boston, MA/Leogane, Haiti passed away May 11th 2022. She is survived by three generations that includes her four daughters: Marie Carolle Leger, Marie Andree Adolphe, Judith Leger, Herline Narcisse, grand-children,  great grand-children, and countless friends.

Alourdes grew up in Leogane, Haiti, but lived in Boston/Mattapan, MA for over 30 years since coming to the United States. Her love for her family was immeasurable. She worked hard to make sure her family was in the best space to become successful in life. She would do anything for her friends and loved fiercely. I can recount the many times she would cook whole party platters just so she always have enough to feed anyone who comes through her door.  Unfortunately for her, everyone in the neighborhood knew it, so did her grocery bills LOL. She, without knowing became the neighborhood's grandmother. My grand-mother may had her faults, but surely was one of the kindness, giving, loving person that I know.  

Our family is grateful to know that our Alourdes is finally at peace.

Services will be held at at P.E Murray F.J Higgins Funeral Home on Friday May 27th at 3p and Boston's Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Saturday May 28th at 8:00AM, respectively all are welcome.
