Gates, Marie Louise of Meredith, New Hampshire and Largo, Florida passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born on July 10, 1923 the daughter of Stephen J. Main and Yvonne (Tardif) Main. Marie grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts and on June 24, 1943 she married A. Earle Gates, her high school sweetheart. Marie and Earle enjoyed 62 years together before his passing in 2005. She is survived by a son, David E. Gates and his wife Laurie of Waterbury, Vermont, a daughter Joan M. St. Jean and her husband Jim of Meredith, New Hampshire, a sister, Theresa Woodworth of Pacifica, California, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. Services will be private.
