Marie Therese Dinet Dorros gained her angel wings on September 14, 2022 at her home in Tucson passing peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. At 99 years young her life seemed too short to those who loved her. She was a beautiful blessing in so many people's lives that her existence and the imprint She left on our hearts will last forever. Marie was a beloved great great grandmother, great grandmother, grandmother, mother and wife. She was born in Puerto Rico by her loving parents Charles and Eugenie and was the 4th born of five girls. Yolande (Yoli), Germaine (Gerry), Madeleine (Maddy), and Yvonne (Cookie). After her fathers passing they relocated to make a new home in Harlem, NY where she met and fell in love with her husband Leon and married on October 31st,1942. They had 2 children George and Miriam and traveled the world taking them to Luxembourg, England, Nigeria, Congo, Morocco, and Ivory Coast. Marie and Leon were the perfect compliment for each other in all areas of life. This magic was what connected them with many people in their travels making long lasting friends that were much like family. They were together for 65 years before Leon passed away on November 4th, 2004. Marie's strength and love of family was inspiring. She was talented, adventurous and funny. With a laugh you could hear from the other room. This infectious laughter and gentle nature with enough clever sassiness to keep us on our toes. She was classy and elegant, truly a master at bringing people together, an amazing cook and a creative jewelry designer. Not a day went by where Marie didn't talk about how much her husband, children and family meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life. Marie is survived by George L Dorros(son) & Miriam T Harrison Dorros (daughter), Kirsten de la Riviere, Greg Dorros, Chris Dorros, Pierre Dinet, and Sybilla Marie Dorros (grandchildren), Isabella Alvarez, Daniel de la Riviere, Hannah Dorros, Noah Dorros, Eliza Dorros, Sam Dorros, Vivian Dinet, Piper Dinet (great grandchildren) and Giovanni Alvarez (great great grandchild).
