Marie's personality was a vibrant tapestry of attributes. She was known to be outgoing, always the first to extend her hand in greeting or offer a comforting word. Her sweetness was as refreshing as a summer's breeze, warming the hearts of those around her. A woman of impeccable honesty, Marie's words were always her bond. She loved deeply and was unapologetically sassy, a quality that brought a delightful spark to even the most mundane moments.
Her children, Sara and Andrew Schwartz, were the greatest beneficiaries of her love and wisdom. Becoming a mother for the first time on April 18,1982, and again on May 9, 1990, Marie embraced motherhood with all its joys and challenges. She taught her children the invaluable lesson of forgiveness, reminding them to always forgive others, a virtue that she lived by.
Her legacy of love and kindness found further expression in her grandchildren, Justice McClaran, Aedin and Addison Schwartz. Every story she told, every lesson she taught, and every hug she gave enriched their lives in meaningful ways. Her influence in their lives will continue to guide them, even in her absence.
Marie's departure has left a void that cannot be filled. The memories she created, however, will always provide a source of comfort and inspiration. Her family and friends mourn her loss deeply, yet celebrate a life well-lived, a life that exemplified love, kindness and personal integrity.
Marie Brittain, a woman of grace, love, and unmatched strength, will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, her teachings a beacon of light guiding their paths. As we bid her farewell, we hold onto her teachings, her giggles, her steadfast love, and the undying legacy she has left behind.
