Mariah's obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mariah Roselle, born on July 3, 1995, who left us far too soon on July 31, 2024. Mariah is survived by her devoted husband, Owen Roselle, and their precious daughter, Scarlett Roselle.
Mariah's life was one of adventure and steadfast determination. After moving to Okinawa, Japan in 2013, she started working at her first job at 'First chance' in 2015. It was here that she built a strong foundation for her future endeavors. In 2017, she met Owen and they quickly fell in love, with their first date on December 27 of that year marking the beginning of a beautiful journey. They exchanged vows in 2018, a union that added contentment and joy to Mariah's life.
The young couple welcomed their bundle of joy, Scarlett, into the world on September 1, 2019. This was followed by a series of 'firsts' for Scarlett; her first plane ride on December 5, 2019, her first Christmas on December 25, 2019, and her first Easter in 2020. These events added more happiness to Mariah's life.
Mariah's career trajectory saw her working at Studio-B in 2018 and subsequently at the University of Arizona in 2022. In 2024, Owen completed his first deployment, showing the strength and resilience that characterized her spirit. Despite the numerous changes in workplaces and residences, Mariah maintained her sense of purpose and joy.
Her interests were as diverse as her experiences. She enjoyed reading 'The Sandman Comics' by Neil Gaiman, watching 'Attack on Titan', and listening to music from bands like Chiodos, Tool, and Circa Survive. Her favorite films included ‘The Crow’, ‘Moulin Rouge’, and ‘Repomen’, and she had a special love for playing ‘The Witcher 3’. A concert by ‘System of a Down’ was always a treasured performance for her.
Her love for food and drink was apparent in her preference for Gen's Sushi in Okinawa. She loved vacationing at Aka Island, and Okuma beach was one of her favorite local spots. Her love for the color Oil Tinge was something that always made her smile.
Mariah believed in honesty and always putting family first. She was extremely proud to be a mother to Scarlett and her legacy of warm memories and spontaneous adventures is something that her family will forever cherish. Mariah Roselle, a beloved wife, a doting mother, and a steadfast individual, will always be remembered, missed, and celebrated for the vibrant and loving soul she was.
