MariaElena Alvarez, 60, passed away on February 13, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 8th, 1963, in Camagüey, Cuba, to Juan and Argentina Garcia. MariaElena graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Nursing and dedicated herself to this noble profession for many years. MariaElena and Orlando Alvarez were together for 43 years and married for 37 years. She found one of her greatest joys in raising her four daughters, and tending to her home, embodying the essence of the love.

MariaElena Alvarez is survived by her husband, Orlando Alvarez, her daughters Alyssa Elena Alvarez-Miller (David Miller), Joanna Alvarez-Crespo (Brian Crespo), Katrina Esther Alvarez-Palaci (David Palaci), Isabel Angeles Alvarez-Nuñez (Justin Nuñez), and her three grandchildren Micah Palaci, Mia Crespo, Lucia Palaci and countless more family and friends.

Known for her radiant smile, unwavering faith in Jesus, and boundless love for her family, MariaElena leaves behind a legacy of strength, devotion, and generosity. Her ability to navigate the challenges of life with grace (including raising four daughters) is a testament to her resilience and strength.

Private services and burial will be held.

A celebration of MariaElena's life will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at Providence Road Church at 5pm, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Family Church, reflecting MariaElena's lifelong commitment to serving the Lord and sharing the love of Jesus with everyone she met.

May her memory live on in the hearts of her family and all those who loved her. May her legacy continue to bless generations to come.

MariaElena Álvarez, nació el 8 de junio de 1963 en Camagüey, Cuba, hija de Juan y Argentina García. MaríaElena falleció en su casa, el pasado 13 de febrero de 2024, a los 60 años, rodeada de su amada familia.

MaríaElena obtuvo una Licenciatura en Enfermería de la Universidad de Miami y se dedicó con excelencia a su profesión por varios años. 

MaríaElena y Orlando Álvarez se conocieron hace 43 años, de los cuales llevaron 37 años de casados. Una de las más grandes bendiciones y alegrías, fue criar a sus cuatro hijas, como también cuidar de su hogar, donde la esencia central y la prioridad siempre fue DIOS y su AMOR reflejado en la familia.

A MaríaElena le sobreviven su esposo, Orlando Álvarez, sus cuatro hijas, yernos y nietos: Alyssa Elena Álvarez-Miller (David Miller), Joanna Álvarez-Crespo (Brian Crespo), Katrina Esther Álvarez- Palaci (David Palaci), Isabel Ángeles Álvarez-Núñez (Justin Núñez) y sus nietos Micah Palaci, Mia Crespo, Lucia Palaci y muchos más familiares y amigos.

Conocida y amada por su sonrisa radiante, fe inquebrantable en Jesucristo y el amor incondicional por su familia, MaríaElena deja un legado de fortaleza, devoción y generosidad. Su capacidad para afrontar los desafíos de la vida con gracia (especialmente siempre mostrar que la crianza de sus cuatro hijas era un privilegio y una tarea fácil), sirven como testimonio de su firmeza y fortaleza en Dios.

Se llevarán a cabo servicios de velatorio y entierro privados.

Se tendrá una CELEBRACIÓN DE VIDA el Sábado, 2 de Marzo en Providence Road Church, donde familiares y amigos se reunirán para honrar su memoria y compartir historias de su extraordinaria vida.

En lugar de flores, se pueden hacer donaciones a Christ Family Church, reflejando así la entrega de MaríaElena, y toda su vida comprometida en servir al Señor y compartir el amor de Jesús con todos los que conocía.

Que su recuerdo viva en los corazones de su familia y de todos aquellos que la conocieron y amaron. Que su legado continúe bendiciendo a las generaciones venideras.
