Maria's obituary
We regret to announce the passing of Maria Vazquez, a gentle soul and caring parent. Born on June 2, 1956, Maria lived a life filled with love, respect, and kindness. On December 9, 2024, she left this world, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion.
Maria is survived by her son, Moises Tamayo, who will miss her deeply. Her life was further enriched by the birth of a grandchild in 2016. Maria was predeceased by her loving husband, Moises Vazquez, whom she married in 1995. Their bond of love continued to be an inspiration to their family and friends long after his passing.
After dedicating years to her career, Maria retired in 2007. Her retirement years were filled with simple joys. She had a passion for Orange Soda and could often be found humming tunes by Marc Anthony. She enjoyed the humor and familiar comfort of the George Lopez TV show and passionately supported the NY Giants. Maria’s interests also included playing Mario 64, watching performances of Hamilton, and walking at the local park. She loved visiting Miami, cherishing its vibrant atmosphere.
Maria was a stern, loving, and level-headed woman who deeply cared about her family. She preached and practiced one of life's most valuable lessons: "Treat everyone with respect". Her legacy, a legacy of kindness, will continue to inspire and guide those who knew her.
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Maria would agree that her presence was comforting, and her spirit, uplifting. She will be profoundly missed by her loved ones and all whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace and may her legacy live on in our hearts.
