Maria Perez, our beloved family member and friend, passed on November 27, 2021, in her home in Thornton, Colorado. She was surrounded by her family members and friends, as was her last wish. There will be a private ceremony on December 1sr at the Veterans Memorial at Ft. Logan Cemetery.

Maria was born on February  22, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. On March 31, 1973, she married Richard Perez in the Windy City. They loved to travel together and enjoyed their beloved pets, both cats and dogs. Together they owned and operated Annie's Kitchen in north Denver where they proudly served many a Denver Bronco. Maria was a very kind and caring person, who loved to spend time with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, of 35 years. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lily Sands, her nieces, Diana Mckee and Jean Tyus, beloved friend May Heu, whom she often referred to as her daughter, and other beloved family members and friends.
