Maria deLourdes Medina, 69 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas.

Maria was born Thursday, September 6, 1956, in Acuña Coahuila Mexico, to the late Alfonzo Sifuentes and the late Adelaida Mendoza Sifuentes.

Our mother, as many of you know, has always been there for others, offering her time, love, and energy to serve our community for over 35 years. She’s devoted herself to helping the youth, offering guidance, and giving her heart to her church family. She has been recognized and honored for her selfless contributions, but never once did she expect anything in return.

My mother's heart was always with our youth 💖...MIS CORAZONIES....as she would call us all.

It wasn't just a phrase to her. She truly meant it! She would see you for the good she knew everyone deeply had. She didn't judge. And she raised us not to judge either. She religiously followed the Golden Rule. The biblical rule of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matt. 7:12).

Her church youth and Boys and Girls Club of Vernon kids were her everything. She truly loved them all as her own. She dedicated her life in helping her community but mostly in being there for the youth of our community.

Hold your loves ones tight! Never take life for granted. Our mother loved all! Please keep our family in your prayers. 🪽🙏
