In Loving Memory of Maria Alma Solis
Our beloved Maria Alma Solis left this world unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion. We are reaching out to our community for support during this difficult time as we honor her memory and lay her to rest.
A Life of Love and Service
Maria was a beacon of light in our lives and in our community. She leaves behind three adult children, three beloved grandchildren, and even two grand-dog babies who will miss her dearly. Known for her boundless love and angelic presence, Maria touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a prayer warrior with an unwavering faith in Jesus and God, always ready to help those in need.
An Unexpected Journey
Maria's passing came as a shock to us all. On August 22nd, she was hospitalized for low blood pressure, where doctors discovered pneumonia and a blood infection. Despite her strong heart helping her recover from a massive heart attack on August 26th, Maria's long-standing health challenges ultimately proved too much.
In her final days, she faced severe nerve pain, arthritis, and struggled with complications from her hospitalization, including muscle spasms and medication reactions.
Dreams and Plans Interrupted
Maria was eagerly anticipating a new chapter in her life. She was excited about moving into a new Casita with her elder sister, while her daughter and future son-in-law would live in the front house. She looked forward to planning holidays and creating new family traditions in this shared sacred space. Tragically, she was hospitalized just one day before this move was to take place.
Adding to the poignancy of our loss, Maria was actively involved in planning her daughter's wedding, set for the following month - a joyous event she will now watch over from above. Her sudden hospitalization and inability to communicate in her final days meant that her beloved grandchildren, who hadn't seen her since May 2024, were unable to say a proper goodbye. This has added immeasurably to the pain and sense of loss felt by everyone.
