Margret's obituary

We mourn the loss of our dearly beloved Margret Rangel, born on June 11, 1948, who passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026. Margret was a beacon of kindness, care, and love who touched many lives during her journey.

Relocated from Washington D.C to Yorba Linda California in 2000, Margret quickly became an integral part of the community. Faith was central to her life, demonstrated by her consistent attendance at St. Michael's Catholic Church, and volunteering for baptism and RCIA classes at Holy Rosary Church.

Her organizational skills were put to wonderful use at the Art of Badminton, where she was anticipating to be president. Margret also had a deep love for games, and Scrabble and Solitaire were among her favorites. It was at the Badminton Club where she felt at home, and it quickly became one of her favorite local spots.

A woman of refined tastes, Margret had many beloved hobbies and interests. She particularly enjoyed the melodious tunes of The Beatles and old symphonies, while her reading tastes gravitated towards classics like 'The Bell Jar'. Her television preference included shows like 'The Young and the Restless', and she found great joy in watching movies such as 'Titanic' and 'The Sound of Music'.

Margret had a special love for grilled chicken with potato salad, and an iced cold tea was her drink of choice. Her love for art was exhibited by her admiration for Picasso, and in sporting, she was a loyal supporter of the Green Bay Packers.

A kind heart, Margret believed in the cause of Autism and dedicated her efforts towards it. She found peace in spending time with her grandchildren and loved going on long afternoon walks. Her preferred vacation spot was the tranquil landscapes of Montana.

Remembered in burgundy, Margret's color of choice, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love that will be forever cherished by her children and grandchildren. She always taught us not to hold grudges for too long, a lesson that will continue to guide us.

Her love and kindness will be deeply missed but her memories will remain etched in our hearts forever. Goodbye Margret, until we meet again.
