It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Margie Kathrine Forare Zimmerli. Born on the 13th of April, 1925, Margie graced this world with her presence for an incredible 100 years before departing on the 15th of August, 2025. Margie was a beacon of self-reliance and strength, living independently even in her golden years, a testament to her indomitable spirit.

Margie was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Swen and Hannah Forare and was  preceded in death by her parents, husband John Zimmerli, brothers Melvin and Stanley and sisters Vera and Elizabeth.   She is survived by her brother Chester and many nieces and nephews.  

Loved and admired by many, Margie has left an indelible mark. Her ability to cherish even the simplest things in life has been an inspiration to everyone who had the fortune of knowing her. Her centennial birthday in April was a joyous event, highlighting her vivacious spirit. She was a strong woman who lived life on her terms, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

We remember Margie not just for the length of her life, but for the life she lived. She will forever be remembered as an inspirational figure who embraced life with unwavering optimism and strength. As we mourn her departure, we also celebrate the remarkable life she lived. Margie's spirit is a beacon for us all, reminding us to live our lives with courage and perseverance. She will be deeply missed.
