Margarita's obituary
Margarita Batiz de Suarez peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 10th.
Born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, she was the cherished daughter of Ruperto Batiz and Maria Luisa Batiz, and a beloved sister to Luis Batiz and Corando Batiz. For more than 60 years, she was a loving wife to Miguel Angel Suarez with whom she shared an amazing journey, created an incredible family, and shared infinite memories prior to his passing in 2021.
Margarita is survived by her four children, Gustavo Suarez, Martha Decter, Margie Levin, and Miguel Suarez. Margarita always considered her children her greatest achievement.
She embraced life with a passion for learning. In addition to being a talented cook, she also loved gardening, yoga, spending time with friends, cooking, and exploring the world through travel adventures.
Margarita's dedication extended to her community; a devoted Catholic, she volunteered at the local church, taught catechism, and rarely missed a mass.
She was a reveled in being grandmother and found endless joy in nurturing her grandchildren.
She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife to Miguel, a supportive sister to Luis and Conrado, an empowering mother to Gustavo, Martha, Margie, and Miguel, and a playful and generous "Abuelita" to Alexa, Taylor, Natalia, Melissa, Gustavo, Elian, and Jesse. Her pride in her family was evident as she rarely missed a milestone, always cheering from the sidelines at concerts, performances, and graduations. A private memorial will be held at Needham Cemetery for family members.
