Margarete W. Venette (Sub) was born on July 23, 1937 in Mannheim, Germany to Karl Friedrich and Karolina Luise (Splitter) Sub and peacefully passed on January 4, 2026.

Margarete married William Roger Venette and they moved to Copperas Cove, Texas, where she became a citizen and raised their family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her daughter Doris Mallinson; granddaughter Stephanie Perrin; grandson Michael Wilkerling; and several beloved brothers and sisters.

She is survived by daughter Christa Venette (Charles Sorensen) of Killeen, Tx; her sons Roger of Copperas Cove, Tx; James (Nicole) of Huntsville, Tx; and Herbert Wilkerling (Christine) of Cypress, Tx; and beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Margarete will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother and Oma. She leaves behind a wealth of cherished memories for her family who will forever hold her in their hearts.
