Margaret was a fun-loving person who had a passion for bringing people closer to Jesus Christ. She truly cherished her family and friends.
Margaret's educational journey began with homeschooling from kindergarten through twelfth grade. She further pursued her love for music by studying the harp at Winston Salem University. Margaret's career started early on when she began teaching young pianists at the age of six in Greensboro, North Carolina. At seven, she became the pianist at a local church. Her passion for the harp was ignited when a student asked her to teach her to play the instrument at the age of twelve. Margaret learned to play the harp and developed a lifelong love for it.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Margaret ventured into entrepreneurship. At the age of 18, she started an ice cream business. Throughout her life, Margaret traveled the world, showcasing her musical talent in India, Israel, Europe, Japan, and various other countries. She eventually returned to Mexico City, Mexico, where she brought her half-sister, Estella, and her niece and nephew, Cindy and James, to the United States.
In 1969, Margaret moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where she purchased a home and served as the youth director in a small church. She created the "Teens & Twenties" group, which connected the youth and single groups in North Charleston for combined monthly ministries. Margaret's love for music led her to establish "Weyman Music," a chain of three music stores in Charleston, South Carolina, where she sold guitars, amps, pianos, and organs. She also performed as a harpist at the Mills Hyatt house for 15 years.
Margaret's journey continued as she moved to Orlando, Florida, in 1981 and then to Hurst, Texas, in 1983. The company's products were sold to well-known brands such as Sheplers, Disney, and Western World. Margaret also co-founded Abbercromby Penthouse Suites, a bed and breakfast located on the courthouse square. Additionally, she owned a large plot of land where she raised buffalo. Margaret served as a harpist for the Word of Faith Church in Farmers Branch, Texas.
