Margaret's obituary
Margaret Adrian Sauers (née Cooper) was born on June 20, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, a resident of Pembroke Pines, Florida, at the age of 84.
Margaret moved at 3 years old, to Philadelphia where she embarked on a life filled with love, resilience, and dedication to her family.
In November 1963, she married the boy next door, Edward Sauers, beginning a cherished chapter together. The couple welcomed their first child, David Gerard Sauers, in 1966, and their family became complete in 1969 with the birth of their daughter, Margaret Ann “Midge” bee Sauers) Daniels.
Tragedy struck far too soon when Edward passed away in 1971, leaving Margaret a young widow with a preschooler and a toddler to raise. Facing these challenges with the steadfast support of her devoted family, she nurtured her children through those difficult years, instilling in them the same love and guidance she had always known.
In 1984, Margaret found renewed purpose, graduating from Nursing School and beginning her career as a nurse. This profession brought her deep fulfillment, allowing her to care for others with the same compassion she showed and received from her own family.
After a significant health crisis in 2015, Margaret relocated to Florida to recuperate and to be closer to her daughter Midge. She embraced this new chapter, building connections with friends and neighbors in Pembroke Pines.
Margaret is survived by her beloved daughter, Margaret Ann “Midge” Daniels (née Sauers) and son-in-law Serfin Daniels, Sr.; her grandchildren, Brian Vincent Horta and Joseph Reinaldo Horta; her bonus grandchildren, Savannah Daniels Streitz and Serfin Daniels, Jr.; her siblings, Laurence Samuel Cooper (Donna Montgomery Cooper) and Elaine Louise Cooper (Mark Reilly); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Edward; her son, David Gerard Sauers (Robert Otey Dudley); and her brother, Duane Richard Cooper (Cecilia Schaeffer Cooper).
Margaret’s big, beautiful smile lit up every room she entered, and her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be private.
