Margaret "Bitsy" Elizabeth Noyes, 70, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away at her residence on July 26, 2021. She went to heaven with her beloved pets, Ellie, Rags, and Misty by her side. Having never married, Bitsy and her pets (past and present) were a family. Bitsy was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 29, 1950, to Harry Floyd Noyes, Jr. (1913-1985), and Margaret Elizabeth Touchton Noyes (1914 - 1996). Her parents divorced in 1952. She graduated from Murphy High School (1968), Mobile, Alabama. She completed her freshman year of college at the University of Alabama before transferring to Sewanee, "The University of the South," her sophomore year and was a member of the first class that admitted women. She earned her B.A. degree in 1972, and went on to earn a Master of Library Science degree from the North Texas State University, Denton, Texas, the same town where her mother, Dr. Margaret Noyes was a professor of special education at Texas Woman's University. Bitsy spent her career at several locations in North Texas (Dallas, Cleburne, and Waco) retiring from the Waco-McClennan County Library. Retirement allowed Bitsy to pursue her life's passion of genealogy full time. Her life's work includes decades of primary research and publication of detailed family records (Touchton and Noyes family trees). Her other passions in life were being an artist, and operating a flea market business. Bitsy published her original artwork (pen and ink sketches) and operated her own business "Noyes Ark." She enjoyed Christmas shopping at flea markets and giving the most interesting gifts to her family members. It was always a delight to open Bitsy's Christmas gifts. She touched the lives of so many in her own special and quiet way. She is survived by her brother Harry F. Noyes III (Maria): sister Marianne Noyes Robinson (Will): nieces: Lindsay Rose Jackson, Jennifer Noyes Janes: Hannah Robinson Miller (Chris), Paula Robinson, nephews: Frederick Noyes; Andrew Robinson (Amy), Jordan Rose, great nieces: Virginia Catlett, Erin Catlett, Lana Miller, Eliana Janes, Eleanor Robinson: great nephews: David Janes, Henry Robinson, Arthur Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Martha Noyes Woods (1958 - 2007), and her niece Suzanne Limerick Catlett (1976 - 2015). Bitsy was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Georgetown, Texas.
