Background
Margaret Cynthetta Ikard, age 59, of Statesville passed away October 1, 2021 at Davis Hospital in Statesville, NC.
She was born March 4, 1962 in Iredell County, North Carolina the daughter of the late Theodore Daye and Thondla Parker. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Danny Wayne Ikard Sr.; stepson, Damond Norman; brother, James Parker; and sister-in-law, Shelby Ann Ikard.
Margaret was a devoted and lifelong member of Highland Acres Church of Christ. She loved to read, especially anything historical, but most of all she was devoted to her family and loved time spent in their company.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Alonzo Parker; daughters, Shanika Parker, Nukikda Ikard and Khani Ikard; stepsons, Raymond Ramsuer, Devonta Fasion and Danny Wayne Ikard, Jr. (Nina); 25 grandchildren, brothers, Tim Parker, Fredrick Daye, Clifford Daye and James Daye; sisters, Hope Gillispie (Chris), Carol Jamison (Bernard) and Michelle Byard (Johnny); brothers-in-law, Tony Ikard, Kevin Turner and Cedric Turner; sisters-in-law, Belinda Clark (Billy); and numerous other loving family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2 PM Friday, October 8, 2021 at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel, 135 E. Front Street, Statesville, NC 28677.
